Your shading is a little on the light side though (that happens to me too). Don't be afraid to apply a little more pressure for a more noticable transition between dark and light areas (though I understand perfectly that sometimes things look lighter than expected once scanned).
I'm liking it though. You definitely have a good grasp on drawing from life. ;o
